HOW TO ENTER: Enter online at www.students-adobe.com by completing an Official Online Registration Form including first and last name, username, email, confirm email, password, confirm password, daytime phone number, then selecting "Enter the Contest". In the areas provided as part of the entry process, entrants must also verify they are 15 years of age or older and a full or part time student in high school or enrolled in an accredited college, university, or institution of secondary education in the United States or Canada, accepting the Official Rules and Adobe’s Privacy Policy, and Publicity Release and Assignment of Rights, submit one (1) Creative Piece that shows self expression using an Adobe product or combination of products from Adobe Creative Suite® 5.5 (See Additional Criteria for Entry section below). Entrant must provide a statement, 100 words or less, indicating why the Creative Piece submitted shows self expression, as well as a statement, in 100 words or less, indicating why they choose the Adobe product(s) they choose to create their submitted piece. The Creative Piece could be one (1) of the following: illustration, poem, composite photograph, poster, engineering plan, slogan, house design, video, short story, cartoon, etc. Video entries should be no longer than five (5) minutes in length as only the first five (5) minutes will be judged. Video entries must be no larger than 1024 megabytes (1GB) in size and in a .3GP, .AVI, .MOV, .MP4, .MPEG, .FLV, .F4V, .SWF, or .MKV format. Image entries must be in digital format. All digital files must be 10 megabytes or smaller and must be in JPEG, JPG, PNG, GIF, or PDF format. Website/Game Design/Application Development Entries must comply with the following requirements: the URL content must remain constant and unchanged until December 1, 2011. Emulation or demo of experience must be entered in a format compatible with Adobe® Flash® Player, jpgs, or screen shots in PDF format. Those of less quality will not be considered. Entries will be accepted between 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on August 21, 2011 and 11:59 p.m. ET on October 15, 2011 ("Promotion Period"). All The Promotion Period consists of four (4) separate entry periods (each an "Entry Period") as outlined in the Entry/Selection Periods Section below. Initial entries may be edited until the entry period in which the entry was originally submitted closes. To edit an entry during the applicable entry period, go to www.students-adobe.com and enter your username and password to access your profile and entry. All resubmitted entries will be screened and judged as they are submitted. Entries will be screened for compliance with Contest requirements; incomplete or non-complying entries will be disqualified. ADDITIONAL CRITERIA FOR ENTRY: Entrant must use Adobe product or combination of products from Adobe Creative Suite® 5.5 to create entry Creative Piece. Entrant may be asked to provide the original source files should they be selected as one of the Semi-Finalists. Entry must be entrant’s original creation and may not include copyrighted, trademarked, patented or previously published material. Entry requiring license or usage rights from any third party may not be eligible. Creative Piece submitted as part of Contest entry should not include any individuals other than the entrant or display any trademarked, copyrighted or proprietary brand names, logos, images or objects except Adobe brands. Entry cannot defame or invade the rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any third party’s personal, proprietary or intellectual rights. Entry must be consistent with the Adobe brand reputation in the marketplace and must be suitable for audiences of all ages. Entries which, in the judges’ or Adobe’s sole discretion, contain any type of vulgarity or objectionable content will be disqualified. Entry must include ONLY the entrant; no other individuals allowed. Entries that exceed specified word limits or size limits will be disqualified. SEMI-FINALIST JUDGING AND CRITERIA: This is not a game of chance. Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of entries received. Entries will be screened and judged as they are received. Judges will select up to twenty (20) Semi-Finalists from among all eligible entries received during each Entry Period. See table above for Semi-Finalist Selection dates. The Semi-Finalist judging panel will consist of marketing and/or public relations representatives from GMR.
All entries will be evaluated on a 100 point scale, as follows:
A maximum of 25 points for clarity of entry statements, which is defined as how well the entry statements reflects the submitted Creative Piece
A maximum of 25 points for creativity, which is defined as being original and unique
A maximum of 25 points for expression, which is defined as offering the most unique form of self-expression
A maximum of 25 points for overall impression, which is defined as the reviewers overall impression of the entry
Entries with the highest point totals will be selected as the potential Semi-Finalists, subject to confirmation of eligibility and provided that any entry may be eliminated, regardless of point total, in the judges’ or Adobe sole discretion (i) if it is not consistent with Adobe reputation in the marketplace, including its reputation for quality and integrity, (ii) if it does not reflect the goals of the promotion, (iii) if the language of the entry is not suitable for all ages or (iv) if the entry is so deficient in grammar, spelling, sentence structure or content as to be unclear or inappropriate. In the event of ties in point totals among Semi-Finalists, judges will revisit the tied entries and choose as a potential Semi-Finalist(s), the entry that best reflects all criteria as a whole.
FINALIST JUDGING AND CRITERIA: Judges will select up to ten (10) Finalists from among up to twenty (20) Semi-Finalist entries as described above. Finalist judging will be completed for each Entry Period. See table above for Finalist Selection dates. The Finalist judging panel will consist of celebrity judges and marketing and/or public relations representatives from Adobe.
All entries will be evaluated on a 100 point scale, as follows:
A maximum of 40 points for overall impression, which is defined as the judges overall impressions of the entry
A maximum of 40 points for creativity, which is defined as being original and unique
A maximum of 20 points for clarity of entry statements, which is defined as how well the entry statements reflects the submitted Creative Piece

ONLINE VOTING TO DETERMINE ONE (1) FIRST PRIZE WINNER PER ENTRY PERIOD: Up to ten (10) Finalists’ entries per Entry Period will be featured at www.students-adobe.com during the timeframes listed in the table above for each Online Voting Period for consumer voting. Schedule subject to change; vote totals will determine one (1) potential First Prize winner. Voting is limited to one vote per person/ authorized email account holder per day. The First Prize winner will be announced and posted online at www.students-adobe.com approximately one (1) week after the Online Voting Period and winner has been confirmed. In the event of a tie, the entries involved will be re-judged by an additional judge from Adobe who will serve as the tie-breaker and who will evaluate entries according to the same judging criteria used to determine the Finalists.
ONLINE VOTING TO DETERMINE ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE WINNER: All eligible entries (including entries selected as Semi-Finalists and Finalists) received during the Promotion Period will be featured at www.students-adobe.com between approximately November 6, 2011 and November 19, 2011 for consumer voting. Schedule subject to change; vote totals will determine one (1) potential Grand Prize winner. Voting is limited to one vote per person/authorized email account holder per day. The Grand Prize winner will be announced and posted online at www.students-adobe.com after winner has been confirmed. In the event of a tie, the entries involved will be re-judged by an additional judge from Adobe who will serve as the tie-breaker and who will evaluate entries according to the same judging criteria used to determine the Finalists.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: Based on the number of online votes during each Online Voting Period as listed above, the Finalist with the most votes per Entry Period will become the potential First Prize Winner. The nine (9) remaining Finalists with the next highest votes per Entry Period will become the Second Prize Winners.
The potential First Prize Winners will be notified by phone and/or express mail to the daytime phone number listed on the Official Online Entry Form approximately one (1) day following the Online Voting Period for each Entry Period as outlined above. The potential Grand Prize Winner will be notified by phone and/or express mail to the daytime phone number listed on the Official Online Entry Form on or about November 22, 2011. If winner is a minor in state/province of residence, prize will be awarded in minor’s name to parent or legal guardian. The potential First Prize winners and the potential Grand Prize Winner (or parent/guardian if potential winner is a minor in his/her state/province of residence) must within three (3) days of first attempted notification (a) comply with the "Assignment of Rights" provisions of these rules and (b) complete an Affidavit of Eligibility, Publicity Release, Mutually-Agreeable Liability Release, and required tax documents for potential U.S. winners or a Declaration of Eligibility and Release for potential Canadian winners. Failure to comply may result in disqualification and selection of another potential First or Grand Prize Winner (time permitting).
The Second Prizes will be shipped approximately 4-6 weeks following the Online Voting Period for each Entry Period.
PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES:
Up to Thirty-Six (36) Second Prizes (nine (9) awarded per Entry Period): One (1) Visa Gift Card. Gift card is subject to the terms of the gift card. (Approximate Retail Value "A.R.V." $550 each).
Up to Four (4) First Prizes (one (1) awarded per Entry Period): One (1) $10,000 Cash Prize (awarded in the form of a corporate check. (A.R.V. $10,000 each).

The total A.R.V. of all Prizes to be awarded during the Promotion Period is $69,800.
All Prize values are listed in U.S. dollars. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution is allowed except in Adobe’s sole discretion. Adobe reserves the right to substitute Prizes of the same approximate retail value. Prize consists only of items specifically listed as part of the Prize. All costs and expenses not specified herein, related to any Prize, are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Sponsor will comply with all tax reporting obligations.
ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS: By entering and submitting an entry, entrant explicitly acknowledges and agrees that Adobe has the right, but not the obligation, the right to publish, produce, use, adapt, edit and/or modify the entry in any way and in any and all media, without limitation and without compensation to the entrant and with or without first and last name credit to the entrant; and that any entrant that attempts to restrict this right will not have his/her entry considered. All entries become the property of Adobe and Adobe shall hold all copyright, ownership, title and all other rights, including intellectual property rights, thereto. Entry constitutes permission for Adobe to use the entrant’s name, answers and other material provided in the entry for any purpose, including for promotional purposes in any media without compensation. First and Grand Prize winners shall execute at Adobe’s request such assignments and other documents as may be necessary to confirm this assignment.
ONLINE REGISTRATION: If for any reason the Contest, including the online portion, is not capable of running as planned, including disruptions caused by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause that corrupts, affects or compromises the administration, security, fairness, integrity, proper conduct or intended play of the Contest, Adobe reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual Adobe or GMR deems responsible and Adobe further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, and randomly award the Prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to action taken by Adobe. ADDITIONAL TERMS: By entering, entrant agrees to accept and abide by the rules of this Contest and agrees that any dispute with regard to the conduct of this Contest, rule interpretation or award of prize, shall be resolved by Adobe or a representative designated by Adobe, whose decision shall be binding and final. By participating, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Adobe, GMR, and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, service agencies, independent contractors, and the officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives of any of the above organizations from any injury, loss or damage to person, including death or property damage due in-whole or in-part, directly or indirectly to the acceptance, use, or misuse of a prize, participation in any Contest-related activity, or participation in the Contest.
